Someone once told me very profoundly that the key to happiness is in learning to accept yourself…the good and the bad. This person said that before you can improve and change yourself, you first need to accept your faults. A pretty simple sentiment, but one that holds a lot of meaning.
But think about it. What does accepting yourself really mean? Is accepting oneself really the key to happiness?
The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. I am me, and no matter how much I may try, I will never be someone else. So why not sit back and stop fighting it?
